LED Luminous Decay

Current luminous decay detection equipment is either a LUX meter or integrating sphere system that are limited on its design and principle. This causes a large gap between the experimental environment and the actual LED in-situ or field condition. These factors cause large errors in LED luminous decay measurements and cannot be accurately monitored.

The LSM Luminous Decay Spectrometer overcomes the shortcomings of previous technology through high precision and high accuracy measurements. The spectral deviation is ±0.1nm and the signal to noise ratio is just 0.1%. The LSM can also monitor any light source under any environmental condition.

how does the LSM-01 and LSM-02 work?

Rainbow Light HSMThe LSM is very simply to use. Connect the LSM to your Window’s PC or laptop with the provided USB and open the free software. Point the instrument towards the light source and then click start measurement in the software. The user can then scroll through graphics and tables for immediate results. Interpretation of data can be made on the spot or saved for additional analysis later. Data can also be saved as Excel files.

The LSM measures light in the portion of the electromagnetic spectrum between wavebands 380 and 1100nm. Light enters the instrument and a unique spectrochip and CCD turn the photons into electrons for further analysis via the inbuilt computer. The results are displayed instantly on the touch screen in the user-friendly software.

No calibration and no maintenance is required.
