1.     PAR (Quantum) Meter

Quantum MeterA low cost, easy to use, high accuracy PAR meter. Measure sunlight in the range between 400 and 700nm (PAR).

The PAR Meters are accurate to ±5%. Cosine correction is accurate to ±3% at 45°, and ±7% at 80°.

Quantum Light Meters are calibrated to display PPFD. The meters display PPFD in the range 0-1999 µmol m-2 s-1.

2.     LUX Meter

PAR MeterA low cost, easy to use, high accuracy LUX meter. Measured values can be converted to PAR post-measurement. Features of the LUX/PAR Meter include:

  • Light sensor attached to 1.5 meter coaxial cable
  • Rugged, waterproof case
  • Low-battery indicator

The instrument is supplied with a light sensor connected by a fixed 1.5 m coaxial cable to allow measurements to be taken from a distance without any interference from the operator.

By simply pressing the RANGE key, users can switch among three ranges to choose the best resolution according to the environment being tested. The lux meter has a rugged and water-resistant body for frequent outdoor use.

The lux meter features a low battery indicator and automatic shut-off feature that turns the meter of after 7 minutes of non-use. Powered by a single 9V battery, this instrument guarantees about 200 hours of continuous operation.

3.     Photosynthetic Photon Flux (PPF) Spectrometer

Spectrometer and plant canopiesEdaphic Scientific’s range of spectrometers measure the quality of light in the spectral region between 400 and 700nm. The quality of light is critical for plant growth where plants need an abundance of radiation in the blue and red regions. Our spectrometers can be used to check LED in growth cabinets or artificial environments, or our spectrometers can be used to assess light quality in glasshouses, greenhouses or vinyl houses.
