The MR-16-PPF spectrometer is an easy to use, portable spectrometer. The HSM-01 model provides more detail and higher resolution than the MR-16-PPF and is supported by a laptop or PC computer.

how to operate our spectrometers

Rainbow Light MR16Edaphic Scientific spectrometers are very simply to use. Simply point the instrument towards the light source and then press start on the touch screen for a measurement (MR-16-PPF model) or click start on your computer (HSM-01 model). The user can then scroll through graphics and tables for immediate results. Interpretation of data can be made on the spot or saved for additional analysis later.

The MR-16 measures light in the portion of the electromagnetic spectrum between wavebands 380 and 780nm whereas the HSM-01 measures between 300 and 1100nm. Light enters the instrument and a unique spectrochip and CCD turn the photons into electrons for further analysis via the inbuilt computer. The results are displayed instantly on the touch screen in the user-friendly software.

No calibration and no maintenance is required. The MR-16 is powered by a lithium ion battery which can last for many hours and the HSM-01 is powered via a USB cable from your computer.
